Linden chicken farmer accused of armed robberies

A Linden chicken farmer who allegedly robbed three persons living in Kuru Kururu while threatening them with a cutlass was remanded to prison on Friday after he was charged with armed robbery.

Joel Morrison appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where he denied the charges after they were read to him.

The first charge alleged that on August 31st at Kuru Kururu, while being in the company of another and armed with a cutlass and hammer, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Aubrey Richardson and stole two phones, valued $52,000 and other articles valued $112,000.
