In the latest round of the West Demerara Cricket Association/ Beacon Café 50-over tournament over the weekend, centuries from Deoram Chanderbir and Floyd Bovell highlighted the round.
In the battle of Windsor Forest at Windsor Forest Ground , their ‘A’ team defeated their ‘B’ team by a massive 171-run margin. Windsor Forest A batted first, posting 272 in 49.1 overs while containing their ‘B’ side to 101 in 35 overs.
Leading the way for the ‘A’ team was Chanderbir who smashed nine sixes and two fours on his way to a top score of 101. Chanderbir was supported by Kishun Tracy with 51 and cameos from Avinash Ganesh (32), Yudhistir Parbhudin (23) and Deendyal Guyadeen (22).
