Chris Pollard, an 18-year-old who has several pending charges in two courts in relation to thievery, was on Thursday ordered to serve a one-year sentence after being found guilty of snatching a man’s phone.
The charge against Pollard, of Lot 83 David Street, Kitty, stated that on September 13th, at Camp Street Georgetown, he stole a cellphone, valued $45,000, from Sachin Narine.
At the conclusion of his trial yesterday, Magistrate Annette Singh sentenced Pollard to one year in jail.
