Left-arm spinners, Devon Lord and Stephon Wilson routed Ace Warriors for 38 before the Georgetown Cricket Club’s (GCC) batsmen established an 89-run lead heading into the second day of the Georgetown Cricket Association’s Noble House Seafoods, two-day second division tournament.

Yesterday at the GCC Ground, Bourda the hosts won the toss and inserted Ace Warriors who fell for 38 all out in 21 overs before GCC closed the day on 127-3  after 23 overs.

The match was delayed by two hours as the run up was wet. But when the match commenced, Wilson blew away the top order to claim 4-7. The early groundwork by Wilson was supported by Lord who returned figures of 3-15. This is Lord’s first match since returning after a stint in Canada. Off-spinner, Winston Forrestor chipped in with 2-1 from three overs.
