As the Berbice Cricket Board Busta 40-over First Division Champion of Champions bowled off on Monday, Albion Cricket Club, Blairmont Blazers, Young Warriors Cricket Club and Port Mourant registered victories while Tucber Park advanced due to Upper Corentyne pulling out.
At Bushlot, hosts West Berbice suffered a 131-run loss at the hands of Albion. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat. They piled on 276-8 in their allotted overs before bowling out West Berbice for 145 in 35.3 overs.
Leading the charge for Albion was Jetendra Outar with a composed 64, decorated with seven boundaries. He was supported by Sarwan Chaitnarine who finished unbeaten on 40 inclusive of three boundaries. Kandasammy Surujnarine chipped in with 35, laced with five fours and added 80 for the opening partnership with Outar. Outar also added 54 for the second wicket with Adrian Sukwah (36).
