Stabbed Rose Hall man succumbs after self-discharge from hospital

A Rose Hall man, who on Friday refused a transfer from the Port Mourant Public Hospital for further medical treatment and discharged himself, has succumbed to a single stab wound that he sustained during an altercation with a businessman. 

Dead is Wesley Harry, also known as ‘Blackmoore,’ 49, of Lot 47 Crawford Street, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne.

On Tuesday, a 48-year-old businessman of Lot 29 Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, reported at the Rose Hall Police Outpost that Harry, a known drug addict who suffered from a mental illness, had allegedly dealt him a blow with a piece of wood to the back of his head. The businessman subsequently proceeded to the Port Mourant Hospital for medical attention.
