Teon Allen, the former policeman who was shot on Tuesday after he and another man allegedly attempt to elude the police, remains hospitalised and police were yesterday granted more time to further detain them.
Contacted for an update yesterday afternoon, Crime Chief (ag) Michael Kingston told Stabroek News that the police yesterday approached the High Court for an extension to further detain the men and the application was granted.
Kingston explained that investigators have since been unable to interview Allen, who remained hospitalised.
