Defending champions Rose Hall Town Namilco Thunderbolt Flour moved one step closer to retaining their Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club/Berbice Cricket Board/Busta Champion-of- Champions 40-over title with a four-wicket win over Tucber Park yesterday.
In their semi-final clash at the desolate Area ‘H’ venue, the hosts Thunderbolts won the toss and inserted Tucber Park to bat, containing them to 159 in 36.1 overs.
Under cool conditions and with a spin-friendly wicket, Thunderbolts survived a late scare after a positive start to reach 160-6 in 34.4 overs.
