Corentyne man on $500,000 bail following Bushlot fatal accident

A Corentyne man, who was on Tuesday charged in connection with the recent accident along the Bushlot Village, West Coast Berbice Public Road which resulted in the death of a 7-year old schoolboy, was yesterday placed on $500,000 bail.

Ramesh Sewlall, 21, of Lot 53 Bushlot Farm, Corentyne, appeared at the Blairmont Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh where he was charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

It is alleged that Sewlall on November 27 drove motor car, PPP 7721, in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Nirfan Nezamdeen, 7.
