Region 10 community gets electricity after 15 year wait

Prosville, a community on the outskirts of Linden, has finally received its own power supply system after a 15- year wait.

According to a Department of Public Information (DPI) release, a commissioning ceremony was held yesterday and included Public Infrastructure Minister, David Patterson; Minister within the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Jaipaul Sharma; Member of Parliament, Jermaine Figueira; Chairman of Linden’s Electricity Company, Tracey Johnson and other community leaders.

The residents of the 200-household community expressed their satisfaction with the power system which represents a $25 million investment by the government.
