Victory Valley Royals and Retrieve Raiders continued their unbeaten runs in the Linden Amateur Basketball Association/Youth Basketball Guyana Under 19 Club Championship on Wednesday at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court.
It was a convincing win for the tournament favourites, Victory Valley Royals, who prevailed by a double deficit margin. Victory Valley Royals sent a stern warning to the field as they recorded a monstrous 54-16 victory over Amelia’s Ward Jets. The scoreline was the largest margin of victory to date in the event, with Royals also recording the largest score thus far.
The dynamic duo of Emmanuel La Rose and Kobe Tappin combined to record 26 points, more than the opposing team’s entire score. LaRose was the eventual top scorer with 14 points, while Tappin followed closely behind on 12 points. For the losing side, L. Benjamin was the main scorer with four points.
