Ram flays latest local content draft, says it should be scrapped

Christopher Ram

Oil and gas commentator Christopher Ram has flayed the latest version of the government’s local content policy and has also faulted the local private sector.

In the 80th instalment of his column, `The Road to First Oil’ in Friday’s edition of Stabroek News, Ram said the third draft did not reflect any consultation with a number of key stakeholders.

For this rather poor piece of work, Ram said the Ministry of the Presidency paid Dr Michael Warner  US$104,500.
