Britton eyes Tokyo qualification

Shemar Britton is one of Guyana’s Olympic hopefuls. 

 Former Caribbean Under – 21 table tennis champion Shemar Britton closed out 2019 on a positive note following his recent championship run in the 2019 Trinidad and Tobago Reliability Maintenance Service Limited (RMSL) Super Singles Men’s table tennis championship in the twin island republic.

Britton, who entered the tournament as the defending champion, secured the crown by accounting for Arun Roopnarine 3-2 in the final stage of the round robin finals where his only defeat was to Aaron Wilson. 

The 21-year-old who is currently pursuing studies at the University of the West Indies told Stabroek Sports that he is pleased with his performance.
