US Embassy officials give Floodlight U15 cricketers grand send off

Two United States Embassy officials yesterday met with executives of the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) and the association’s Under15 cricket team, at 93 Dennis Street Campbellville, where the team was undergoing sessions ahead of their trip to the US, later this week.

The team which includes national table tennis player Jonathan Van Lange and rising star Romeo Deonarine among others is set to participate in the annual Cricket Council United States of America Open Youth Tournament to be held December 20 – 23, at the International Cricket Council (ICC) approved Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida. 

Mark Cullinane, Deputy Chief of Mission and Violeta Talandis, Public Affairs Officer yesterday intermingled with the players of the GFSCA U15 team ahead of their participation in the  T20 tournament.
