‘Flying over the fence’ theft accused denied bail

A man who was reportedly ‘flying over the fence” with a quantity of stolen items was denied bail after being charged in a City court.

Cecil Forde, 49, was before Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday, when he was remanded to prison after the owner of the home he allegedly stole from, told the court that Forde was the person who stole from her.

The charge stated that on December 8, at 747 Avocado Place, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Sonia Aaron and stole 12 zinc sheets, two gas cylinders and a quantity of clothes, costing a total of $142,000.
