An official from the American Petroleum Institute (API) over the last few days spoke to around 200 business representatives on quality management systems.
This is according to a release yesterday from the US Embassy which said that in accordance with the US priority to increase trade between the United States and Guyana, it sponsored a series of workshops on ISO 9001-2015 certification.
That the Houston, Texas-based API was utilised suggests that the discussions were focused around the oil industry and enabling better connections between oil companies and local businesses
