Police in medical outreaches at Bartica, Lethem

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) as part of its focus on its human resource has embarked on a series of medical outreaches spearheaded by its Welfare Department.

According to a GPF press release, the Force’s Welfare Officer, Deputy Superintendent Jewel Sullivan recently hosted a medical outreach to its ‘F’ Division which was held at the Bartica Community Centre.

The commander of ‘F’ Division, Senior Superintendent Kevin Adonis and his team along with residents of Bartica, were given health talks, dental check-ups and cleaning, HIV testing and counselling, blood pressure testing and body mass index among other medical services by a team comprising of doctors from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), headed by Regional Health Officer, Dr Niaal Outtman, counsellors, as well as personnel from the Welfare Section of the GPF.
