Baramita man charged with trying to kill four residents in chopping attacks

A Baramita man who allegedly chopped four persons within a period of 11 days was yesterday remanded to prison after he was read four attempted murder charges.

Eddie Williams, 21, stood before acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, who read the charges to him in Georgetown.

It was alleged that he committed two of the attacks on April 1st, at Baramita, North West District, where he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Rawle Campbell and Salicia Jacob, with intent to commit murder.

He is charged with committing another attack on April 5th, when he wounded Virgil Thomas and on April 11th, when he wounded Devon Scott.
