Youngsters didn’t come up with the bat says Brooks

Barbados Pride captain, Shamarh Brooks

Following their seven-wicket defeat in three days to Guyana Jaguars, Barbados Pride’s captain, Shamarh Brooks believes that the young batsmen in the team did not perform well in the match.

Speaking exclusively to Stabroek Sport after the ninth round match of the Cricket West Indies Regional Championship at the Providence Stadium on Saturday, Brooks said: “Unfortunately a lot of our young players did not come up with the bat,” he said.

“It is a learning curve and is just for them to continue learning and learn as fast as possible on the job,” he added.
