Trafalgar advances to semis after topping Group A’

Defending champion Trafalgar will oppose Litchfield, while East Bank Gunners will oppose New Amsterdam [NA] Kings in the semi-final round of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Berbice Championship, following group wins on Saturday.

 Witnessed by a large crowd at the NA Ferry Tarmac, Trafalgar secured two victories on the evening to top group-A, in the process sealing their consecutive appearances in the final four section.

In their opening match, Trafalgar downed Hopetown 3-0. Kevin Layne Jr., opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Delwyn Fraser recorded a ‘Guinness Goal’ [any goal scored in the final three minutes of regulation and extra time counts as two] in the 18th minute.
