Bowlers dominate first day of Banks Beer final round

Bowlers dominated yesterday’s first day of the third and final round of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Banks Beer first-division, two-day tournament as Rose Hall Town Thunderbolts and Rose Hall Canje enjoyed first innings points.

At the Area H ground, Albion won the toss and inserted the hosts, Thunderbolts, who were bowled out for 181. Albion responded with 174 all out before Thunderbolts closed their second innings on 13 without loss.

Thunderbolts’ batting centered around former Guyana national player, Delbert Hicks who stroked an entertaining 81, decorated with eight fours and four sixes, all of which were deposited over long off and into the J.C. Chandisingh Secondary School ground.
