Five lucky students at the Youth Village at D’Urban Park on Saturday won digital tablets courtesy of the Ministry of Public Tele-communications.

According to a Department of Public Information (DPI) release, this activity was part of the Ministry’s efforts to ensure all Guyanese have access to technology and to boost the delivery of education in Guyana through Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Outreach Officer at the Ministry of Public Telecommunications, Deon Patterson, explained that the students were given pamphlets with information about the Ministry, which they had to revise before they were quizzed. The names of the students were put into a bag and five winners drawn.
