A 12-year-old grade seven student of the West Demerara Secondary School was left hospitalised with a fractured skull last Monday after being beaten and robbed.
Around 3.30 pm on Monday, the child was riding his bicycle home from school in his home village of Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, when he was reportedly approached by a male, who was also on a bicycle. His assailant dealt him a blow to his head, which knocked him unconscious.
