A man is now awaiting sentencing after admitting to stealing a woman’s purse in an attack in the city.
The Georgetown court of Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus yesterday heard that Daniel Jackson, 19, of ‘B’ Field, Sophia Squatting Area, stole the purse belonging to Linda D’Oliveira-Henery.
Following his guilty plea, Jackson, who was later apprehended by a public-spirited citizen, told the magistrate he had been roaming the streets because he was hungry.
