Rape accused Stephen McCurdy now faces a possible retrial after a jury was yesterday unable to arrive at a verdict on the indictment levelled against him.
After two hours of deliberations, the 11-member jury returned to the courtroom and reported through its foreman that a decision could not be reached.
He said that they were deadlocked and further directions would not assist in changing positions.
