The police are currently pursuing two suspects in connection with the murder of Cuban butcher Ofredis Duarte Campos, who was fatally shot during an attempted robbery on Thursday morning.
Contacted for an update last evening, Commander of Region 4(A) Edgar Thomas told Stabroek News that up to last evening, the suspects were not located.
“The investigation into that matter is still ongoing. We are still to make an arrest,” Thomas said.
