Guyana Fire Service (GFS) investigators have concluded that the fire which destroyed the Sachi Superstore on Regent Street, Georgetown last Monday was an act of arson.
This was confirmed by Fire Chief Marlon Gentle who told Stabroek News recently that the GFS has completed their investigation and the matter was handed over to the police.
It is now for the police to determine who committed the act and what the motive was.
