An Amelia’s Ward, Linden woman was yesterday shot dead and her boyfriend, ex-cop Teon Allen was wounded.
The woman was identified as 28-year-old Collissa Hunte. She sustained a gunshot injury in her chest and was pronounced dead on arrival at the MacKenzie Public Hospital.
Regional Commander Hugh Winter last night told Stabroek News that the shooting occurred at around 1.30 pm. He said that crime scene investigators up to 8 pm were still probing the scene to determine what would have caused the shooting. He said that a gun was also found in the house and there were several bullet holes inside of the house, where the couple was found.
