The 2020 National Chess Championship has been postponed to a date to be announced in due course.

The country’s foremost chess players were scheduled to begin the championship three weeks ago, but that was not to be. Meanwhile, the Under-16 Development Tournament has also been postponed to a later date. Four rounds have been completed in this seven-round competition. Ronan Lee of Marian Academy is leading.
