Coronavirus outbreak affecting volleyball development in The Guianas

Volleyball development in The Guianas is being stalled by the coronavirus threat with officials of the local body unsure if a meeting with Suriname and French Guiana later this month will go ahead as planned.

It is apparent that the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) is continuing to serve up a number of global challenges in the world’s financial and healthcare economy.

Though parts of Asia and Europe are more severely hit, the spread of the virus has recently been more talked about in the Caribbean and South America and is affecting the enthusiasm of volleyball administrators in Guyana, Suriname

and French Guiana who are keen to see the sport move forward.
