Accused in South Ruimveldt carjacking charged

A man was on Wednesday charged with a carjacking in which a taxi driver was thrown from his vehicle by two men pretending to be passengers.

Malcolm Henry, of South Ruimveldt, was arraigned before Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty and pleaded not guilty to the charges read to him.

He was subsequently granted $200,000 bail but failed to raise it and was remanded to prison as a result.
