Man accused of stealing over $1M in phone credit, other valuables in robbery

A man accused of stealing over a million dollars in phone credit and other valuables was yesterday remanded on an armed robbery charge.

Nicholas Singh, who stood before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him.

It was alleged that on March 24, 2020, at 65 Bent Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, Singh, being armed with a gun, robbed Andrew Blackman of $887,000 in phone credit, three cell phones valued at $117, 000 and a gold chain worth $90,000.
