10,000 more COVID-19 testing kits expected in June

Guyana currently has an adequate supply of testing kits but plans are underway to bring approximately 10,000 more into the country in early June, Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) representative to Guyana Dr. William Adu-Krow has said.

In saying that there is currently an adequate supply of testing kits in the country, Adu-Krow told Stabroek News in a telephone interview that missing parts for some testing kits that had arrived earlier were received.

Adu-Krow stated that additionally Guyana has received more testing kits which were donated by the government of China, some that were bought by the country and also some donated from PAHO.
