No new COVID-19 cases recorded for third straight day

For the third day in a row, the Public Health Ministry has reported no new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Guyana.

The ministry yesterday said in its COVID-19 update that the number of confirmed positive cases in the country remained at 153 even as 14 more persons were tested, bringing the total number of persons tested to 1,672.

It added that there are currently 71 active cases in institutional isolation, with 25 persons in institutional quarantine. Two persons remain in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit while 70 persons have so far recovered from the virus.
