A 62-year-old Brazilian gold miner was beaten and robbed of a quantity of raw gold in an attack on Friday afternoon and the police say they have arrested three of his employees, who have admitted to the crime.
The victim has been identified as Adam DaSilva, of Boa Vista, Brazil.
DaSilva suffered a fractured leg and multiple lacerations about his body and is presently admitted as a patient at the Bartica Hospital. His condition is listed as stable.
