Beverley Gomes, the 50-year-old Corentyne resident who is accused of stealing a baby from its mother about four months ago was yesterday charged and remanded to prison.
Gomes of Lot 30 Kildonan Village, Corentyne appeared virtually at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 2 before Magistrate Crystal Lambert.
She was charged with the offence of child stealing.
