The Georgetown Mayor and City Council (M&CC) is still awaiting a response from John Fernandes Limited on a quotation for the damage done to the Municipal Abattoir.
At a statutory meeting held yesterday, the council discussed the need to get the abattoir back up and functioning.
The abattoir, located at Water Street, sustained significant damage after the boom of a crane belonging to John Fernandes Limited fell on the structure.
