West Coast Berbice pensioner still nursing injuries in hospital following accident

The family of the Number 4 Village pensioner who was hit by a motorcar at Number 6 Village is worried as he is still recovering at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

While Erick Boodhoo, 64, of Lot 13 Number 4 Village, West Coast Berbice, is still in hospital after suffering several injuries in the accident that occurred July 2, his family say that they are worried about the slow recovery due to his ‘old’ age.

Speaking with one of his nine siblings yesterday, Norma (only name given), said that she and his other siblings are concerned that because he “is big in age”, he might take longer to recover from his injuries. She said that her brother was supposed to undergo surgeries for his injuries but complained that the surgeries “didn’t do much” as her brother is still suffering from a fractured shoulder.
