With less than eight days remaining in the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) Transfer Window, Calvin ‘Fluman’ Allen, coach of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), has confirmed the acquisition of several high profile players from Elite League rival and national champion Fruta Conquerors.
This was disclosed during an exclusive interview with Stabroek Sport yesterday. According to Allen, the experienced trio of Eon ‘Beckham’ Alleyne, Jahaal ‘Chico’ Greaves and Simeon ‘Shines’ Moore, will don the colours of the lawmen for the impending season following their departure from the two-time defending national champion.
Allen said, “The last transfer period, we brought in a total of 20 players both male and female. This period we have already confirmed four players, with another four pending. The confirmed players are Eon Alleyne, Jahaal Greaves, Simeon Moore and Threvon Pluck.” The duo of Alleyne and Greaves are Golden Jaguar internationals, while emerging midfielder Pluck has been capped at the U20 level.
