Bus conductor dies in Soesdyke crash

A fatal accident early yesterday morning at Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara (EBD) has claimed the life of a Timehri bus conductor and left four others injured.

Dead is Quami Dalton, a 24-year-old conductor of Icehouse Road, Timehri, EBD. Dalton was pronounced dead on arrival at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre after he was taken there following the accident which occurred at 2 am.

Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) EBD Sub-Division Commander, Kurleigh Simon confirmed to Stabroek News that the fatal accident took place at the Soesdyke Junction and it involved motor car HB 1029, driven and owned by Shaquille Henry, 25, of Mora Street, Linden.
