Residents of Dantzig, Mahaicony are once again experiencing flooding resulting from a combination of breached sea defences and high tides.
At a virtual press conference held yesterday, Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill said that the flooding was as a result of another 100 meters of the sea defences being breached.
“As of yesterday morning [Tuesday], there was an additional breach in the very same area of more than 100 meters.” He stated that the breach combined with the high tide caused flooding in the area which resulted in a number of residents being severely affected.
