Following their nail-biting win over Jamaica Tallawahs in match eight of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), skipper of the Guyana Amazon Warriors Chris Green is in high praise of his bowlers but believes the batsmen are overdue on runs.
Warriors posted a relatively low 118 all out but returned to contain Tallawahs to 104 for 7 rewriting the record books for the lowest total defended in the CPL.
Green, after the match, indicated that his team was particularly confident at the half way stage despite missing their target by “10-15 runs.
