A resident of Nismes, West Bank Demerara was relieved of $4.4 million on Monday night after two men armed with guns invaded his home.
Police yesterday said that at approximately 11.50 pm, the men pounced on the victim while he was asleep. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
Investigations reveal that the victim who had fallen asleep in his living room while watching television, was awakened by the bandits. One of the bandits who was armed with a nickel-plated hand gun, pointed it at the man and demanded that he hand over the money to him. He was then ordered to lie face down on the floor.
