Police have arrested a suspect as they probe the murder of a Hope, East Coast Demerara, nonagenarian who was found dead with marks of violence in his kitchen on Tuesday.
The dead man has been identified as Sukhnanan Dugi, called Henry Sukhnanan, 90, a pensioner of Lot 6 Hope Lowlands Public Road, East Coast Demerara.
Police Commander of Region Four ‘C’, Senior Superintendent Khalil Pareshram, told Stabroek News that the suspect was arrested yesterday and is currently assisting with investigations.
