Police have arrested the driver of a car which was abandoned on Tuesday night and found to contain over 112 pounds of cannabis.
Commander of Region Four ‘C’ Senior Superintendent Khalil Pareshram on Wednesday told Stabroek News that investigators have arrested the driver of the vehicle, who remains in police custody and is assisting with investigations.
At around 8.10 pm on Tuesday night, police said ranks from the anti-crime patrol were in the vicinity of Montrose, East Coast Demerara seawall when they observed the stationary blue Honda CRV car.
