Turkeyen carpenter succumbs after being hit by car

A carpenter who was struck down by a speeding car on Tuesday night, along Dennis Street, Sophia, died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

Fifty-one-year-old Joseph Semple of Lot 201 ‘C’ Field, Turkeyen, was riding his bicycle on his way home, when he was struck down by motor car PXX 5407, driven by a 30 year-old resident of Pattensen, Turkeyen.

According to the police, while in the vicinity of the ‘Black and White’ access road, Semple rode across the road and ended up in the path of the car.
