An 84-year-old man from Cuyuni/Mazaruni is the 48th known fatality from COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health this afternoon said that the man died “while receiving care at our medical facility. The test sample was collected from the patient at the time of admission and was tested positive for COVID-19 subsequently”.
