A 17-year-old boy, who is the grandson of one of the suspects in custody over the murder of Joel and Isaiah Henry, succumbed yesterday after he was found with head injuries and a chop wound along the Number 2 back dam.
Dead is Haresh Singh, also known as `Raj’, 17, of Lot 8, Number 3 Village, West Coast Berbice, a relative of three of the suspects presently in police custody in connection with the murders of the Henry cousins.
This killing appeared to be a reprisal for the death of the Henrys and marked a major escalation in the violence that has convulsed West Coast Berbice since Sunday.
