The local women’s game is set to receive a timely boost with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), initiating a Women’s Developmental Programme.
According to a release, the objective of the programme is to improve the quality of the sport amongst the respective member associations. The initiative will run for the cycle of 2020-2023 and is immediately available and eligible to each of the 211 member associations, following a thorough application process.
According to the world governing body, the programme aims to provide the respective member nations with access to detailed and tailored expertise to support the development of the women’s game.
