T&T driver charged with causing cyclist’s death

Akidu Isaiah McPhee, the driver involved in the accident that claimed the life of Navindra Dhoray at Liliendaal, along the Rupert Craig Highway last week, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and remanded to prison on Monday.

McPhee, a Trinidadian national who has been residing at Oronoque Street, Queenstown, made his appearance before Magistrate Melissa Mittelholzer at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on the causing death by dangerous driving charge.

He was refused bail and ordered to make his next court appearance on September 28.
